I thought I would share an event The Fashion Show Company produced recently at Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, Yorkshire. We had a super few days showing the shoppers what fabulous clothing is on offer in their local centre, how to dress from your desk straight out to dinner plus gorgeous leisure wear & accessories to die for.
I spent all day choosing items I loved then put them into new season trends like Red Hot, Checkmate, Hyde & Chic, CoverUp, Wool pack, High Shine plus new season Prints. With Hannah’s help we showed shoppers how to put the new trends together, how to up date your wardrobe with a flash of red, either head to toe in different shades from pillar box to aubergine & all the berry tones in between or just add red accessories if this suits your style.
This fabulous puffa jacket is from M&S, it has the option of pulling the waist in to create the curves we all crave, adding berry leather gloves from Beales, We mixed an aubergine blouse with lovely sleeve detail from Peacocks with a red leather mini skirt & berry ankle boots from New Look plus a fabulous Jane Shilton bag from Beales.
There is a dress trend for the winter, they are called modesty dresses, long sleeves, over the knee & up to the neck, I chose a fabulous dress from M&S with a tie neck in cherry red I added a checked Crombie coat from New Look, mixing a masculine coat with a feminine dress, creating a gorgeous look, we gave shoppers the option of adding long boots from Clarks, sock boots from Dorothy Perkins plus bags in different sizes, styles & shades of red.
Checkmate is an easy wardrobe update, as you can see I am wearing a check shirt dress from Next, we chose a gorgeous oversized checked blazer & 3/4 trouser from New Look to create a trouser suit, great pieces to wear together or separate, giving you so many options all season long, we added a Parisian logo t shirt & red suede court shoes, this trouser length looks fab with sock boots too. We also had a few pairs of stylish designer frames from Specsavers, I think I tried them all on over the 2 days, in the picture I am wearing Cath Kidson frames with floral arms.
High Shine has got to be one of my favourite trends this season, its so nice to be able to wear metallics & shine fabrics, adding items to our wardrobe so we can be fabulous even when relaxing in our leisure wear 🙂 I love the velvet joggers & relaxed t shirts in M&S, they come in various trend colours, they are a super fit & look stylish with metallic trainers, ankle boots or your slippers at home. They are definitely on my xmas list! We teamed them with this super high shine puffa jacket by Tokyo Laundry from Beales, its a fabulous light weight jacket thats warm but can be rolled up & put in a bag.
We chose a fabulous bronze pleather pleat skirt from M&S, it sat with numerous pieces of new season knitwear from skinny ribbed to oversized by Roman, Bon Marche & M&S. We had fantastic High Shine accessories, these silver sock boots & Chanel style gold bag are from Dorothy Perkins, the bigger chain bag inspired by Stella McArthney is from Beales.
These leopard print court shoes from DP are a wonderful addition to your shoe collection, ticking the print trend, but also the High Shine, they are a subtle way to wear animal print which is always on trend season after season. We chose a lovely soft feel leopard print mini from Peacocks, again not too in your face, we styled it back with a soft gold knit from Bon Marche, sporting the cold shoulder making it an easy wear for any age, we added the long boots from Clarks & a gorgeous tan Fiorelli bag from Beales, another item on my xmas list 🙂
Dark floral prints are still on trend, we chose a modesty dress from Peacocks with a choker style neckline adding the long boots from Clarks, but giving the option of a gorgeous forest green ankle strap shoe from Clarks. Shown below
Hyde & Chic is a wonderful Winter trend, all the gorgeous fur, leather & suede items to create a super glamorous season, wear fur with your jeans & your leather biker with a cocktail dress, mix it up to suit you, wear what you like & what suits you.
This was one of my favourite looks from Airedale Shopping Centre, great pieces individually to add to your wardrobe, but striking all together, I love colour blocking & this Ochre Crombie from New Look is such a stylish winter coat & a fantastic price £35, we teamed it with a geo print blouse from DP (love) tailored ankle grazer trousers from M&S with loop tassel detail down the outside seam creating a modern tuxedo look, the forest green velvet ankle strap shoes from Clarks & mini satin satchel from M&S. I love this look, you could easily wear ankle boots & carry these pretty accessories in your bucket bag then change ready for a cheeky after work cocktail or early dinner date.
I hope you have enjoyed Styled by Airedale as much as I did!
